Recipe: “Magical” Hemp Flower Brownies

Less of a true recipe and more of a happy marriage between your favorite brownie recipe and our solid technique.

There are plenty of methods out there to transform your hemp flowers into baked goodies (think most famously brownies). We have done the leg work to bring you an effective, yet easy approach that will elevate your baked goods from delicious to legendary.

The key step here is to “decarboxylate” your raw flowers in the oven, effectively transforming the acidic cannabinoids (remember our new friends we introduced in last month’s newsletter, CBDA and CBGA) into their more familiar, heat-activated counterparts namely CBD and CBG.

After grinding this decarbed flower into a powder, it seamlessly blends into your favorite recipe to add a special touch and full-bodied experience. For adult use only.

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 245 degrees F.

  2. Set flower buds on a baking pan and bake for about 70-90 minutes. The buds should become slightly browner from their original light green color.

  3. Remove from oven and allow to cool.

  4. Separate out any stem fragments and grind the flower into a fine powder.

  5. Simply incorporate this hemp flower powder into the batter of your favorite brownie recipe and bake. For increased bioavailability, ensure that your recipe includes butter and eggs. Cut the brownies into 12-24 pieces, depending on your desired strength per piece. Label and freeze any extras. Keep out of reach of children.
