Happy Fall & Happy Harvest Season!
Greetings to our longtime subscribers, and a hearty welcome to our big group of new Northwoods Botanicals e-newsletter subscribers!
It’s been a whirlwind of a growing season on our hemp farm as per usual, and it was wonderful to connect with so many of you at our weekly farmer’s market stands. This year, we were present at a few new markets as well–shoutout to Ironwood, Hurley, Cable, and Bayfield farmer’s markets!… We enjoyed hearing about your personal experiences with our products and loved knowing our products are working for you!
This year we grew and harvested 5 different cultivars of hemp flowers, including several new ones. Despite a regional drought during much of the growing season and some extreme heat, we didn’t lose any sleep. Our deep mulching and natural farming practices helped to retain the soil’s moisture with minimal irrigation, yielding some of the finest plants we’ve ever grown. Our favorite smelling one was “Sour RNA” and the best-looking flowers came from “Elektra” and “Super Sour Space Candy”. But the reality is that each plant looked great and had its own wonderful terpene profile.
What do all these different cultivars mean for you? They mean more options in our flower shop for folks who want inhalables or to make their own edibles and topicals at home. Additionally, these new varieties will allow us to bring new products and more novel cannabinoids to you.
As the harvest season winds down and we prepare for winter, we find ourselves reaching passed our bottle of summery, strawberry-lemonade tincture for the warming comforts of our cinnamon-flavored CBD and CBG oils. You can grab a bottle for yourself too, here.
We have more exciting news to come and look forward to sharing great deals with you later in November!
