Growing in Harmony with Nature
We love beneficial insects!
While hemp is one of our main crops, as a small specialty crop farm, we also grow more than 100 different species of plants, which helps to provide a “checks and balances” ecosystem.
Some less-than-beneficial bugs (e.g. the notorious cannabis aphids) might stop by for a visit, but their population is soon put back into balance by voracious beneficial insect allies (enter the role of lady beetles).
While this strategy may result in a few tiny holes in early hemp leaves, the yield and quality of our flowers are enhanced–it is worth it to our customers and us to keep harmful pesticides off of our plants and environment.
