A Peek Behind the Green Curtain: Life for a Hemp Farmer in the “Off-Season”

As the winter chill fades away and the sun starts to shine a little brighter, our hemp farm comes to life in a whole new way. But what do we do in the “off-season”? While we may not be out in the fields as much, there is still plenty to keep us busy. So come along for the ride and see what life is like on our farm during the dormant season.

First and foremost, we use this time to reflect on the past year and plan for the next. We evaluate what worked and what didn’t, and make adjustments to improve our processes and products. We are also continually educating ourselves to stay up-to-date on industry trends and the latest regenerative farming techniques.

In addition to planning and learning, we use the off-season to work on product development and check-in in with our retail partners. We’re always looking for new and innovative ways to use our hemp, and we use this time to experiment with new products and formulations. So while the off-season may not be as physically demanding as the growing season, it’s just as important for our us. It allows us to recharge, refocus, and prepare for another successful year on the farm.
