Your Hemp Questions, Our Answers!
Being a local hemp brand has given us the privilege to participate in various farmer’s markets and gift fairs, bringing us in front of many curious folks. During the conversations we have at these events, we get some great questions, and thought we’d share a few of them with you!
What are CBD and CBG? Why are people using them?
Both CBD (aka cannabidiol) and CBG (aka cannabigerol) are non-inebriating compounds found within the hemp plant. These types of compounds are known as “cannabinoids”. We’re learning more about the therapeutic benefits of these compounds all the time, as studies reveal the ways in which they interact with our bodies. While we can’t make any medical claims on our hemp products and we encourage you to consult with your physician, our customers report to us that they are primarily using them for, but not limited to, support with sleep, pain management, and emotional well-being related to stress and anxiety.
What does “full spectrum” mean?
All of our products are categorized as “full spectrum,” meaning that they contain all the hemp plant has to offer. For example, our CBD oil tinctures are, of course, dominant in CBD, but they also contain a small percent of other beneficial and naturally occurring cannabinoids, as well as flavonoid, and aromatic terpenes—all together giving the customer a supportive “entourage effect”. This is in contrast to hemp companies that only use isolated cannabinoids in their formulations, which can lead to a more one-dimensional effect.
What is the typical dose of your tinctures and what frequency of use?
As everybody’s bodies differ, we cannot suggest a “one-size-fits-all” serving of our hemp tinctures. With some folks being more sensitive to the effects of cannabinoids than others, we always suggest starting “low and slow” to find your perfect dose. For example, many customers ingest half a milliliter of oil for their first few times, but then from there increase or decrease their dose and adjust the frequency as needed.
What is your CBD pet tincture used for?
Generally speaking, our customers use the pet CBD tincture for improving the quality of life for their cats and dogs in need. While we cannot make any claims on its effects, we hear about great results when administered to animals that are really high-strung and anxious, and/or elderly pets with a lot of aches. Of course, you’ll want to consult with your veterinarian to see if CBD could be right for your animal.
How do I know that your company’s hemp products are of high quality?
we take our commitment to offering high-quality cannabinoid products seriously and go the extra mile to ensure that all of our products meet the highest standards of safety and quality. We partner with third-party labs to test all of our products and provide our customers with a certificate of analysis (COA) for added peace of mind.
What truly sets us apart, however, is the source of our hemp flowers. We grow all of our hemp exclusively on our licensed, small farm in northern Wisconsin, where we’re dedicated to all natural and regenerative farming practices. Our full spectrum extracts are made using cryo-ethanol processing, which is one of the safest and most effective methods for extracting cannabinoids from hemp plants. These extracts are then infused into bioavailable formulations with local and organic ingredients, for enhanced absorption and quality.
And of course, all of our products contain less than 0.3% THC, which is the legal limit for CBD and CBG products. We believe that these attributes not only set us apart from our competitors but also demonstrate our commitment to providing our customers with the best hemp-derived products available on the market.
